Dr. Farren Billue first found an interest in the dental field when she spent a good portion of her teen years in the dental chair. This sparked her desire to work in a field in which she could care for other people and educate them on dental diseases. Dr. Billue grew up in Radford, VA, and attended the University of Richmond for her undergraduate schooling. She then attended VCU’s School of Dentistry for her dental education. After graduation, she completed a one-year residency at Palmetto Health in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Billue is a member of the ADA, AGD, and VDA. She also recently volunteered for Morrison Dental Group’s Smiles for Heroes event in Williamsburg. She also plans to volunteer with the MOM projects and at the dental school.
Dr. Billue most enjoys dentistry when she is able to work with children. She describes herself as a detail-oriented individual with a great sense of humor. Dr. Billue is engaged to Leigh, a Senior City Planner, and they plan to wed in the fall of 2018. They have a three-year-old cat named Oskar, whom Dr. Billue adopted from the Richmond SPCA. In her spare time, Dr. Billue enjoys weightlifting and singing. She also attends Redemption Hill Church. A fun fact about Dr. Billue is that she sang the National Anthem for Michelle Obama. She also loves to travel; her most recent trip was to South Africa, and she studied abroad in China for three weeks during her 4th year of dental school.
